Members of the People’s Defense Force Battalion-1 and Battalion-2 in Yangon Region held a ceremony on July 19, 2023, to commemorate the 78th Martyrs’ Day. The ceremony was attended by members from both rear bases and frontline positions, beginning with a salute to the flag of the People’s Defense Forces.
During the ceremony, attendees paid respects to General Aung San and other martyred leaders who sacrificed their lives for the country. They also honored the fallen comrades and civilians who have lost their lives in the current federal democracy struggle. The members reflected on the sacrifices made by the martyred leaders and renewed their commitment to continue fighting for the goal of achieving genuine federal democracy, which was the aspiration of the fallen leaders.
