Two Pyu Saw Htee informants who were working for the military council were captured alive on the Yoma crossing road in Minle Township, Bago Region’s Thayarwady District. They were killed during an attempted escape while being interrogated, according to an official from Battalion 3802 in Thayarwady District. The incident occurred around noon on May 4th near Pyinkadoe Kwin village along the Seikanhlan-Myochaung Yoma crossing road, where Myazaw Oo and Daw Yu Pi, both Pyu Saw Htee members from Ban Bwe Kon village in Minle Township’s Ywekon group, were captured by resistance forces when they arrived in a Ford vehicle.
During the interrogation, resistance forces received information about advancing military council troops and began preparing for a counterattack. At this time, Myazaw Oo and Daw Yu Pi attempted to escape, prompting resistance forces to pursue and open fire, resulting in both being shot and killed. Items seized from them included one Ford vehicle, a mobile phone containing communications with military council soldiers, one ring, and one pair of earrings. The investigation revealed that the deceased Pyu Saw Htee members had been actively collaborating with the military council in various ways that harmed local civilians.
The two Pyu Saw Htee members had been providing false information to military troops leading to civilian arrests, participating in the destruction and illegal seizure of crops and homes belonging to displaced persons in collaboration with military council soldiers, supplying rations to military council troops, and providing transportation services for soldiers traveling in the Yoma region using their Ford vehicle. Additionally, they had been sharing intelligence about resistance forces’ information and camp locations with the military council. Despite multiple warnings from People’s Defense Forces to cease these activities, they continued their involvement with the military council, ignoring all warnings and persisting in their actions against the local population.
