Two individuals were arrested by the People’s Defense Force (PDF) while transporting food supplies and fuel intended for Infantry Battalion 256 in Yedashe Township, Magway Region. The arrest took place around 9 AM on June 2nd when revolutionary forces intercepted the shipment on the Pakokku-Yedashe road. The supplies were being sent from Military Division 101 in Pakokku to Infantry Battalion 256 in Yedashe Township.
The seized items included one small enclosed cargo vehicle, thirty-five bags of rice, fourteen containers of cooking oil, seven containers of fuel, one bag of salt, and one bag of seasoning powder. The two individuals who were transporting the supplies are currently being interrogated to determine their connection with the military council forces and whether they were acting voluntarily or under coercion. A spokesperson from the Yedashe Township PDF stated that they are conducting thorough investigations and will take legal action based on their findings.
The Yedashe area is currently experiencing intense fighting between military council forces and revolutionary groups, with resistance forces controlling most rural areas except for the town center. The military council has been known to use civilians for their supply operations, often through coercion and threats of violence. Local residents report that the military frequently forces people to transport supplies at gunpoint. As a result, revolutionary forces are working to cut off supply lines to military council troops. The PDF spokesperson emphasized that while they understand some civilians may be forced to assist the military under duress, they cannot accept voluntary collaboration with the military council and will take appropriate legal action in such cases.
