
Two soldiers from the military council were severely injured during a drone strike targeting a military base and supply column in Ayartaw Township, Sagaing Region. The attack, which took place on February 27, specifically targeted the military base in Ngwetin Pyusawthi village and soldiers who were collecting supplies. The operation was confirmed by a representative from the Twenty-four Drone team to Yangon Modern News Agency.
The attack involved the deployment of 22 bombs and resulted in the loss of two fixed-wing drones. Despite these losses, the operation successfully inflicted severe injuries on two military council soldiers who were subsequently rushed to Ayartaw Hospital for emergency medical treatment. The military’s Training Unit 10 in Ayartaw responded with heavy artillery fire, but the revolutionary forces managed to withdraw safely without any casualties. The strike demonstrated the growing capabilities of resistance forces in conducting coordinated drone warfare against military targets.
The operation was led by the Monywa District Battalion 24 Drone Force and involved coordination with multiple revolutionary groups including Monywa District Battalion (24) Company (1), SSTF/Strategy (44) Battalions (14,15), KLG/Strategy (42), Strategy (45), Strategy (47), Red Wing Battalion (35) Company (3), Brave Heart Army (Local), and Chindwin Dynamite (Local). This collaborative effort showcased the increasing coordination and effectiveness of resistance forces in their campaign against the military council’s presence in the region. The successful execution of this operation, despite the military’s retaliatory artillery fire, highlights the growing tactical sophistication of resistance forces in their ongoing struggle against the military council’s control.
