A drone strike conducted by resistance forces on a military council base and supply column in Ayadaw Township, Sagaing Region, has resulted in severe injuries to two military council soldiers, according to a representative from the Twenty-four Drone team. The attack took place on February 27, targeting the military base in Ngwe Twin Pyu Saw Htee village and military council troops who were collecting supplies.
During the operation, twenty-two bombs were deployed, resulting in the loss of two fixed-wing drones. The two injured military council soldiers were rushed to Ayadaw Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Although the military’s Training Unit 10 in Ayadaw provided artillery support during the engagement, resistance fighters successfully withdrew from the area without casualties. The coordinated attack demonstrated the resistance forces’ capability to effectively respond to military council operations in the region.
The operation was led by the Monywa District Battalion 24 Drone Force and involved multiple resistance groups including Monywa District Battalion (24) Unit (1), SSTF Battalions (14,15), KLG Strategic Forces, Red Wing Battalion (35) Unit (3), Brave Heart Army, and Chindwin Dynamite local forces. This collaborative effort represents a significant coordinated action against military council positions in the area, according to resistance force assessments. The successful execution of the mission highlighted the growing tactical capabilities of resistance forces in conducting precision strikes against military council targets.
