
Two military council soldiers were killed during an attack by resistance forces on their camp in Yeshaung village, Yephyu Township, Tanintharyi Region, according to a spokesperson from the Launglone Peninsula Force (LPF). The attack occurred around 6:30 AM on April 27 when allied resistance forces targeted military council troops who were preparing to establish a camp in Yeshaung village, Nabule area, intended to support operations of the Dawei Special Economic Zone.
During the engagement, two military council soldiers were confirmed killed by sniper fire, while approximately six others were reported wounded according to local residents. The military council had deployed over 70 troops to establish the camp in Yeshaung village. The resistance forces successfully withdrew from the area without suffering any casualties. The coordinated attack was carried out by multiple resistance groups including the Yephyu Township People’s Defense Force, Dawei District Battalion 1, Dawei People’s Liberation Force (TPLF) Thagara Column, Dauna Column 3, Battalion-4 (KBDF), Battalion-6 (Waihin), Battalion-7 (LPF), DNLA, Dawei District People’s Defense Front (DDPDF), DGRF, TPDF, Bathoo Battalion, Dragon Red Guerrilla Force, Shwe Bi Lon, and Local Security Forces.
The Yephyu Township Allied Forces have stated they will continue their offensive operations against the military council. They also urged soldiers serving under the military council to defect and join the people’s side as soon as possible. The successful coordination between multiple resistance groups demonstrates their growing capability to conduct effective operations against military council forces in the region.
