
Two military council soldiers were killed when revolutionary forces attacked the central guard post and barracks of Artillery Battalion 310 based in Theinzayat town, Mon State, using shock attack rockets, according to the Bago District PDF commander. The attack occurred around 11 PM on February 24th, resulting in multiple casualties among military council forces. The revolutionary forces were able to successfully withdraw from the operation without suffering any casualties.
The injured military council soldiers were transported to hospitals in Bago and Mawlamyine for treatment. Local funeral service organizations were reportedly threatened not to disclose information about the burial of the deceased soldiers. Revolutionary forces confirmed that two artillery expert instructors were among those killed in the attack. The extent of damage from the operation is still being investigated according to responsible officials.
The operation was jointly carried out by multiple revolutionary forces including the Bago District PDF, which led the mission, along with the United Defense Force (UDF), Waw Township PDF, and Kawa Township PDF artillery units. The coordinated attack specifically targeted the central guard post and barracks of Artillery Battalion 310.
