The Chinland Defense Force (CDF) Hakha has announced the capture of two military council police officers who were conducting surveillance while disguised as civilians in Hakha, Chin State. According to the announcement, the two police officers were caught on May 1st while gathering intelligence in civilian clothing within Hakha city. The CDF Hakha stated that they will continue to detain the captured police officers and take action against members of the military council who have been terrorizing and oppressing innocent civilians.
On April 23rd, CDF Hakha issued a statement in the Chin language calling for youth and parents to join in the battle to liberate Hakha city. Following this announcement, the military council forces have increased their military preparations in Hakha. The military has intensified their intelligence gathering operations within the civilian population to monitor the movements of Chin revolutionary forces, conducting surveillance operations under civilian disguise, and implementing strict controls on entry and exit points around Hakha city, according to local resistance sources. The military council has also strengthened their presence by deploying additional troops, bringing in more heavy weapons, and increasing military activities in the area.
Local sources report that the military council has been conducting more frequent civilian interrogations and detaining suspected individuals within the city. The military’s increased presence has resulted in tighter security measures and more thorough checks of people moving in and out of the city. The CDF Hakha has stated that they are closely monitoring the military council’s activities and will take necessary measures to ensure the safety of the civilian population. The situation has created heightened tension in the area, with both sides preparing for potential confrontation as the military council attempts to maintain control while resistance forces work to protect civilian interests and pursue their revolutionary objectives.
