
The Anya Pistine Htaung Lay Group has provided two meals to internally displaced persons (IDPs) at a long-term camp in Salingyi Township on behalf of a donor. This donation was aimed at helping alleviate the daily struggles faced by civilians who have been forced to flee their homes due to the military council’s violence. The IDPs staying at the camp face numerous challenges in their daily survival, including both basic necessities and security concerns.
The Anya Pistine Htaung Lay Group visited the IDP camp and directly prepared and served meals, ensuring that the displaced civilians could have both breakfast and dinner. Such donations not only provide crucial material support to the IDPs but also help boost their morale during these challenging times. Through the generosity of donors and supporters, the daily survival challenges faced by these displaced civilians can be somewhat alleviated.
Due to the military council’s violent actions, civilians who have been forced to flee their homes face numerous difficulties regarding food security, shelter, healthcare, and education. Support from civil society organizations and donors remains crucial in this context. The displaced civilians require peace and justice in the country to be able to return to their homes safely, and in the current situation, such humanitarian assistance remains vitally important.
