Two civilians were injured and temple buildings were damaged when the terrorist military launched an airstrike on a temple compound in Sint Kaing village, Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region. According to local sources, a fighter jet from Tada-U Air Base conducted two aerial attacks on Sint Kaing village at around 9:25 AM on March 20.
The airstrikes were carried out in two waves, with the first attack at 9:25 AM and the second at 9:30 AM, reportedly using what are believed to be 100-pound bombs. The attacks resulted in the destruction of one temple building and left two civilians with non-life-threatening injuries. Local residents reported that the military council, which claims to be religiously devout, has been deliberately targeting religious buildings and innocent civilians.
The terrorist military’s airstrikes have caused widespread fear and concern among local residents, forcing many to flee their homes and seek safety elsewhere. Locals particularly emphasized that targeting religious buildings constitutes a war crime and violates international law. The terrorist military continues to commit war crimes against civilians while destroying their lives, homes, and property. The military council’s actions demonstrate a pattern of violence against civilian targets, including religious sites, despite their claims of religious devotion.
