The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) issued a statement today calling for unified resistance against the terrorist military council’s attempts to maintain long-term control of state power through fraudulent elections. According to the statement, the military council is currently in a severely weakened state, with military command centers and battalions across the country falling due to coordinated attacks by the people, leading to deterioration on multiple fronts.
The terrorist military has been conducting daily airstrikes and heavy artillery attacks throughout June and July 2025, targeting civilian areas in Ta’ang region cities including Naung Cho, Kyaukme, Hsipaw, Kutkai, Mine Lon, Mine Ngaik, and Mogok. These attacks have deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure including residential homes, markets, schools, hotels, and guest houses where civilians live and conduct daily activities. The TNLA strongly condemns these war crimes committed by the military council through their deliberate targeting of civilian populations.
The TNLA has called upon the United Nations, People’s Republic of China, and the international community to take immediate action to stop the military council’s attacks. Additionally, they have urged civilians living in revolutionary areas across Myanmar, including the Ta’ang region, to construct necessary bomb shelters and maintain revolutionary vigilance in their daily activities to protect themselves from the military council’s air attacks. The statement emphasizes the importance of taking proper precautions while continuing resistance efforts against the military council’s oppression.
