Three soldiers were killed when the Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) resistance force attacked military personnel stationed at a hospital in Seemee Kon town, Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region. The attack, which occurred around 11 AM on April 1, involved resistance fighters throwing hand grenades at the military post inside the hospital compound. According to Colonel Mike Khae, the leader of the Myingyan Black Tiger force, the operation was successfully carried out with no casualties on the resistance side, and their forces were able to withdraw safely after the attack.
While the exact number of military casualties beyond the confirmed three deaths remains uncertain, Colonel Mike Khae indicated that there could be more fatalities, including a military officer who was reportedly hit directly during the attack. Due to the location of the target being inside the hospital premises, gathering detailed information about additional casualties has been challenging. The attack comes at a time when Myanmar’s civilians are facing multiple crises, including recent earthquake damage and the ongoing military oppression. The resistance leadership emphasized that only through the complete elimination of the military dictatorship can the people of Myanmar find relief from their current hardships.
The MBT leadership has strongly advised civilians to maintain a safe distance from military installations and areas where soldiers are stationed to avoid becoming collateral damage in future operations. Colonel Mike Khae stressed that Myanmar is currently experiencing one of its darkest periods in history, and urged the public to remain resilient and united in their efforts to completely dismantle the military regime. He emphasized that only through persistent resistance and determination can the people overcome the multiple challenges they currently face, including both natural disasters and the oppression of the military council.
