The leader of the Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) force, Major Mike Khae, confirmed that three soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members were killed during an attack on a military checkpoint in the Industrial Zone 6 of Pakokku City, Magway Region. The battle began at 3:20 PM on May 15 and lasted approximately 30 minutes, involving intense exchanges of fire. During the confrontation, three military personnel were killed and many others were wounded.
The battle took place at a military checkpoint within the Pakokku Industrial Zone. Initially, intelligence suggested there would only be about 6 soldiers stationed at the post, but when the attack commenced, approximately 25 military personnel were present. This unexpected development led to a longer engagement than originally planned. The resistance forces had to withdraw when military reinforcements were called in, though they managed to retreat successfully without suffering any casualties. The combined resistance forces had nearly captured the checkpoint, but the arrival of military reinforcements forced them to withdraw strategically.
The operation was a joint effort involving the Myingyan Black Tiger force, Naga Min PDF, and Revolution Force (Pakokku). Following the battle, Major Mike Khae reassured the public, urging them to maintain their resolve and emphasizing that the Myingyan Black Tiger force would always stand with the people regardless of circumstances. He further stressed that despite the challenges, they would continue their fight for the people’s cause. The successful coordination between different resistance groups demonstrated their ability to conduct effective operations against military targets, even though they had to withdraw due to tactical considerations. The resistance forces’ ability to conduct the operation and withdraw without casualties highlighted their growing tactical capabilities in their struggle against the military regime.
