
A vehicle carrying Pyu Saw Htee members was attacked near Natmauk town in Magway Region, resulting in three deaths, according to an official from the People’s Defence Force-Yenangyaung. The incident occurred around 8:30 AM on September 2, when revolutionary forces attacked a vehicle carrying approximately 15 Pyu Saw Htee members, including their leader Kyaw Maung Htay, who were traveling from Natmauk town to Peitauk Nyunt Pyu village along the Natmauk-Ywa Mon road.
During the attack, three Pyu Saw Htee members were killed and five others were injured. The engagement lasted approximately 20 minutes, during which the vehicle carrying the Pyu Saw Htee members was also destroyed. The attack location was only about one mile from Natmauk town, which necessitated a swift withdrawal by the revolutionary forces due to the possibility of military council reinforcements arriving from the nearby town. The official explained that their forces managed to retreat without sustaining any casualties.
The operation was jointly carried out by multiple revolutionary groups including the People’s Defence Force-Yenangyaung, Tharake District Battalion 3 Unit 1, Chauk Revolution Army (CRA), Minbu Township PDF, Yenantha Column, Natmauk PDF, and Intaw District PDF. According to local sources, the Pyu Saw Htee groups have been operating in coordination with military council forces in the region. The revolutionary forces confirmed that none of their members were injured during the engagement, and they successfully withdrew from the area after the operation.
