
Revolutionary forces launched an attack on military council troops who were looting and destroying civilian homes in Pyuzun Myaing village, Nyaunglebin Township, Bago Region, resulting in severe injuries to three military council soldiers. According to a representative from the Mee Nagar military column, the engagement began at approximately 11:55 AM on May 1st, when their patrol unit confronted military council forces who had occupied positions within the village. The confrontation escalated into an exchange of fire between both sides.
The military council troops had established positions inside the village and were in the process of breaking into and looting residents’ homes when they came under attack. During the battle, three military council soldiers sustained severe injuries, with their current conditions and additional casualties still under investigation. Local civilians had long since fled their homes in Pyuzun Myaing village due to ongoing oppression by military council forces.
Additionally, around noon, military council forces launched an offensive in the Swe Da Lwe area of Pyuzun Myaing village. As the fighting intensified, military council troops based in Nyaunglebin town provided artillery support using two 120mm heavy weapons. Throughout both engagements, resistance forces successfully withdrew without casualties. According to battle reports, further clashes are expected in the area, with revolutionary forces maintaining close surveillance on military council troop movements. The local resistance continues to monitor the situation as tensions remain high in the region.
