
According to a statement from the Taungoo District Battalion 3504 Column 2 – Red Scarf Column, three military council soldiers were killed during an attack on a military council column heading towards Yaylwe village in Yetarshay Township, Bago Region. The incident occurred around 9 AM on July 4th when revolutionary forces ambushed approximately 30 military council troops as they were crossing a wooden bridge south of Yaylwe village. Although the engagement lasted only a few minutes, it resulted in three military council casualties and several others were wounded in the clash.
Following the battle, an ambulance from Kyweyanepyin village entered Yaylwe village to retrieve the bodies of the deceased soldiers and transport the wounded to Htonbogyi village. The attack was carried out by Taungoo District Battalion 3504 Column 2 – Red Scarf Column, and according to their statement, the revolutionary forces were able to successfully withdraw from the area without suffering any casualties. Local sources confirmed that the military council forces retreated after collecting their casualties, marking a successful operation by the resistance forces in their ongoing struggle against the military council’s presence in the region.
