The commander of the Zamani Drone Force, Major Tiger, confirmed that three military council soldiers were killed when resistance forces launched drone attacks against military council troops who were conducting operations in three villages in Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region. The attack took place on May 15, targeting military council forces that had entered Takhonhtaing, Kyaungmankan, and Thitchopin villages in Shwebo Township.
During the engagement, approximately 70 military council troops were involved in the operation, of which three were confirmed killed. According to local residents, blood stains were found at the battle site, and one military council soldier was buried at the location. During the battle, the military council deployed a Mi-35 helicopter which conducted airstrikes around Kyaungmankan village at around 3 PM, but resistance forces suffered no casualties. The resistance forces were able to withdraw safely after the successful operation.
The operation was jointly carried out by several resistance groups including the Zamani Drone Force (Phoenix Wings), BLACK WOLF-ARMY, Dragon Urban Guerrilla, People’s Servants Group, and Lattha Township forces. Following the battle, military council troops faced difficulties in maneuvering due to their casualties, which impacted their operational capabilities, according to Major Tiger. These attacks were conducted with the aim of preventing military council forces from raiding villages and protecting the security of local civilians. The successful coordination between multiple resistance groups demonstrated their growing capability to defend local communities against military council operations.
