
According to revolutionary forces, three military council soldiers were killed in a clash between military council troops and revolutionary forces near Aung Thapyay Kone village in Taunggoo Township, Bago Region. The battle occurred around 8 AM on July 8 when revolutionary forces intercepted military council troops who were conducting a military operation in Aung Thapyay Kone village. During the engagement, three military council soldiers were killed and others were wounded in the fighting.
Following the battle, military council forces retreated from the area after collecting the bodies of their fallen soldiers. Although the military council forces responded with heavy artillery fire, revolutionary forces reported no casualties on their side. The operation was jointly carried out by the Warazein Force and the Northern Thantaung People’s Defense Force, with all revolutionary fighters successfully withdrawing to safety after the engagement.
According to local residents, military council forces frequently conduct military operations in the area and have been intimidating and oppressing local civilians. Revolutionary forces continue to carry out defensive operations to ensure the security of local residents. The successful interception of military council forces in this operation demonstrates the ongoing resistance against military rule in the region and the commitment of revolutionary forces to protecting civilian populations from military council aggression.
