A military camp situated along the Union Highway in Ye Township, Mon State, came under heavy artillery fire from resistance forces, resulting in the death of three military council soldiers, according to a spokesperson from the Ye Guerrilla Force (YGF). The attack took place on March 17, targeting a military outpost near Kwankike village along Union Highway No. 8, within the operational area of People’s Defense Force Strategy 33 in Ye Township. The resistance forces launched a total of six artillery strikes against the military position during the operation.
The artillery shells struck precisely at locations where military council troops were stationed, causing immediate casualties. The attack resulted in the death of three military council soldiers and left one sergeant major severely wounded. The operation was jointly carried out by the Dawn Battalion, Dawn Column 2, and the Ye Guerrilla Force (YGF), in coordination with their allied forces including the Ramanya Column and KNLA Battalion 27. Following the successful attack, all resistance fighters were able to withdraw safely from the area without sustaining any casualties. The coordinated assault demonstrates the growing capabilities of resistance forces in conducting precise artillery strikes against military council positions in the region.
