The military council troops attempted to clear the area but faced strong resistance from the revolutionary forces.
The operation involved coordinated efforts from multiple resistance battalions, including Battalions 2, 6, 7, 14, 15, and 17 from the Pakokku District. According to the Battalion 15 official, while the military council forces suffered significant casualties and managed to retrieve most of their dead, the resistance forces were able to secure one soldier’s body. The official detailed that the military council forces retreated in disarray following the intense fighting, during which they had attempted to use both air support and artillery to counter the resistance attacks.
