
A representative from the Phyu Township People’s Defense Organization has confirmed that three separate clashes occurred on March 9 along the Htoke Hpyat road section in Phyu Township, Bago Region, resulting in three military council casualties. The first engagement began around 3 PM near the western edge of Way Gyi village, lasting approximately 15 minutes and resulting in two military council casualties. The resistance forces were able to withdraw successfully without sustaining any casualties.
The second clash occurred at 3:30 PM in Myo Chaung village, where an additional military council soldier was killed. Around 6 PM, a third engagement took place when the People’s Defense Force drone unit launched an attack on military council forces that had entered Myo Chaung village, deploying four bombs. While this attack resulted in military council casualties, the exact number could not be immediately confirmed.
The Phyu Township People’s Defense Organization spokesperson confirmed that throughout all three engagements, resistance forces suffered no casualties while inflicting confirmed losses of three military council personnel. The resistance forces in this region continue to monitor military council movements closely and remain prepared to conduct further operations as necessary. These clashes represent ongoing resistance efforts against military council forces in the Phyu Township area, demonstrating the continued active presence of local defense forces in the region.
