While the bombs landed outside the village, avoiding civilian casualties, one buffalo was killed after being thrown into a tree by the blast impact, according to local residents.
According to a local resident, one bomb struck near a road junction by a coconut tree at the entrance of Kwin Gyi village, destroying a fuel shop and killing three buffaloes. Another bomb landed in farmland near an agricultural center between Kwin Gyi village and Pauk Kone village, creating large craters where the bombs impacted. The resident added that they were fortunate the bombs did not fall within the village itself, which prevented human casualties. The bombing has left massive craters in the areas where the bombs landed, demonstrating the devastating power of the weapons used.
Kwin Gyi village, home to approximately 200 households, has seen most of its residents forced to flee their homes due to the military council’s indiscriminate aerial attacks. The military council continues to deliberately target civilian areas, causing destruction to people’s lives and properties. Despite the absence of active fighting, these aerial bombardments have created an atmosphere of fear and anxiety among local residents, who now face daily threats to their lives.
