MAGWAY DIVISION – Local residents said that 3 girls were injured when the Kyaukhtu Artillery unit opened fire with 120 mm heavy weapons in Saw township.
At 8:30 a.m. on December 6th, a 120-mm weapon shells fired by the Kyaukhtu Artillery unit exploded in Tay Village, north of Kyaukhtu, injuring three 10-year-old girls. It is reported that the injured children were given timely treatment and there is no need to worry.
“They have been shooting since 5 o’clock in the morning. Until about 8:30 in the morning. The shells of weapons hit in the forest surrounding the village. Only one dropped into the village. That one hit the 3 children and a cow. No need to worry their condition. The children are in 3rd/4th grade kids.” A local resident said.
In addition, a cow was also hit by a heavy weapon and some houses were also damaged.
