Thousands of civilians in Kani Township, Sagaing Region, have been forced to flee to safety as the terrorist military forces conduct burning operations and launch attacks in the area. On September 4 at around 8:50 PM, military forces that departed from Banbwe Pyusawthi village in Yinmabin Township entered Chaungma village in Kani Township and set fire to civilian homes. Currently, residents from villages along the Monywa-Yagyi-Kalaywa road and the Chaungma-Kani road are fleeing to safety due to both ground operations involving arson attacks and aerial bombardments by the military forces. The terrorist military has been conducting daily airstrikes while ground forces enter villages, destroying and looting civilian properties. Local residents report that the military columns are systematically targeting civilian areas with both ground and air attacks.
On September 3, the terrorist military also conducted an airstrike on Samingyan village in Kani Township, resulting in one civilian death and multiple injuries.
