
BAGO DIVISION – According to the chief inspector of Bago Yoma based Shwe Galone column, they blasted the junta council’s veteran office in Okpho town, Bago division. It was known that due to the attack, one junta council troops was said to have been killed.
At around 4:30 a.m. on February 5, the revolutionary comrades from the Shwe Galone column 1 blasted the junta council’s veteran office which is located near the Myoma police station, in Okpho town.
During the attack one junta council troop was reportedly killed and the revolutionary forces managed to retreat successfully.
The chief inspector of Shwe Galone column mentioned that “there are always seven veterans including a driver. As it was near the police station, the junta police used to come to that office. We planted the landmines in advance. After the explosion, around 40 junta council troops, almost all of the junta council troops including the city guard forces, came to the scene. As they even left their security gates, our comrades could easily pass through. As the veteran office which is located downtown was attacked, it made them embarrassed.”
That attack was carried out as the Kafuganaung Operation to commemorate the 64th Kachin Revolution day in accordance with the decision by the Bago Yoma Revolution Front.
