MAGWAY DIVISION – Myaing People’s Defense Organization (MPDO) issued a statement saying that the revolutionary alliance forces attacked and captured the Pyu Saw Htee military camp in Thayet Kwa village, Myaing township, Magway division. Following that they also attacked the junta council reinforcements. Due to the attacks, 14 junta council troops including a captain rank were said to have been killed.
Starting from 6 a.m. on December 19, the revolutionary alliance forces started attacking the Pyu Saw Htee military camp in Thayet Kwa village, Myaing township. Even though the junta council reinforced its servants using aircrafts and a junta council column consisting of 150 junta council troops who were stationed in Myaing town also came to reinforced the Pyu Saw Htee militants, the revolutionary alliance forces managed to capture completely the camp on December 21.
The back and forth firefights between the revolutionary forces and the junta council column which came to reinforce the Pyu Saw Htee militants at around 7 a.m. and at around 12 p.m. on December 19. During those confrontations, 14 junta council troops including a junta council captain were reportedly killed and 30 troops were injured. Following that, the junta council servants retreated back to Myaing town.
Due to the junta council’s airstrikes, around 10 residential houses were damaged and two revolutionary comrades sacrificed their lives for the country within the camp capturing battles.
That operation was jointly carried out by Myaing People’s Defense Organization (MPDO), Pauk People’s Defense Organization (PPDO), (Myaing, Pauk and Kamma) battalion 1, 2, Pakokku district battalion 2, 6, 7, 14, 15, 17, Anyar Myay coalition, Kamma coalition, PLC coalition, 8+ coalition, Pakokku coalition, Wolf Guerilla Force, Galone People Defense Force, Dar Min Gyi force and Ko Aung Gyi force.
The revolutionary alliance forces also urge the junta council servants who want not to die to return to the legal fold as soon as possible as they (the revolutionary alliance forces) will attack the junta council’s military camps and Pyu Saw Htee camps rapidly.
