THAILAND – Thailand’s Khaosod English reported that PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra said that the four Thailand fishermen arrested by the Myanmar junta council will be released soon.
The terrorist junta council’s navy ship opened fire at Thai fishing boats on November 30th morning, and a Thai citizen drowned to his death and two were injured while the junta navy forces arrested 31 fishermen, 27 of whom were Myanmar and 4 were Thai.
The Thai PM assures that the four Thai nationals arrested by the junta council are safe and will be released soon but did not disclose when they will be released or if Thai authorities are allowed to meet them.
Meanwhile, the terrorist junta council, via its spokesman Zaw Min Tun, defended its actions saying that the navy ship attacked the fishing boat as the boat was in Myanmar waters and claimed that no one was hurt during the attack and that the detainees are treated well, adding that there are ongoing investigations as non-weapon items related to revolutionary forces were found on the boat.
