According to military sources in Naypyidaw, terrorist military leader Min Aung Hlaing, who attended the BIMSTEC meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, returned to Naypyidaw earlier than originally scheduled, departing the same night. He left Bangkok at 9 PM on April 4 and arrived in Naypyidaw at 10 PM. Although the original schedule had planned for his departure on the morning of April 5, there was a sudden change in plans leading to his immediate nighttime return.
The military’s special aircraft Fokker 70 number 002 was used for the terrorist leader’s Thailand trip, with a crew including Lieutenant Colonel Min Min Soe as pilot, Major Nay Htun Oo, Captain Min Min Htike, Captain Aung Kyaw Myint as flight engineer, and Captain Chaw Thazin as flight navigator. On April 3, the aircraft transported the terrorist leader and foreign minister from Naypyidaw to Bangkok before returning to Naypyidaw.
During his stay in Thailand, the terrorist leader faced protests from Thai students and citizens. Additionally, an Argentine court issued an arrest warrant for the terrorist leader and requested Interpol’s assistance in apprehending him. Analysts suggest these circumstances may have contributed to his premature departure from Thailand. The sudden change in his travel schedule, which originally included an overnight stay and morning departure on April 5, reflects the mounting international pressure and protests against his presence in Thailand.
