
The People’s Defense Force Operation Area 1, Strategy 33, and the Mon State Revolution Force (MSRF) have united to form a brotherhood army to fight against the military dictatorship, as announced by Strategy 33 Operations Commander Comrade Saw Dar Ko. The two forces began their alliance on July 14, 2023, starting with the SKK-19 drone operation, and have successfully conducted over 40 military operations and captured six military council camps during their two-year collaboration.
Commander Saw Dar Ko explained that the purpose of forming this brotherhood army is to continue fighting until the complete elimination of the military dictatorship system. The forces will face and resolve challenges together. The past two years of cooperation have strengthened the bonds of unity, sacrifice, and mutual trust between the members of both forces. This partnership has proven effective in their joint operations against the military council.
Furthermore, to enhance military operations in Mon State and Tanintharyi Region, they plan to increase cooperation with the local Mon Defense Force and Dawei local forces. The commander emphasized that building trust and cooperation among local forces is crucial for the success of the revolution. This strategic alliance represents a significant step in coordinating resistance efforts against the military council in the region, with the forces committed to working together until their shared goal of ending military rule is achieved.
