
A protest against the military coup and a football tournament in support of Myanmar’s Spring Revolution were successfully held in Gimhae city, South Korea. The protest was attended by Myanmar citizens residing in South Korea, local residents, and supporters of the Spring Revolution, who peacefully demonstrated with signs and posters opposing the military dictatorship.
During the protest, Spring Revolution activist Day Gu Bun Bun delivered a speech emphasizing that Myanmar people have a responsibility to protect their country and fellow citizens. He urged individuals to continue supporting the Spring Revolution through whatever means they can. Additionally, he called on Myanmar citizens both inside and outside the country to collectively support Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun’s continued role as Myanmar’s legitimate representative to the United Nations.
Following the protest, a friendly football tournament was organized to raise funds for the Spring Revolution, drawing enthusiastic spectators who attended in large numbers. The funds raised from these matches will be used to support Myanmar’s Spring Revolution. Participants noted that such collective support efforts from Myanmar citizens abroad and international supporters play a crucial role in the struggle against the military dictatorship. The event demonstrated the ongoing solidarity among Myanmar communities overseas and their commitment to supporting the democratic movement in their homeland.
