Spring Revolution forces in San Francisco, California, United States, held their 153rd consecutive ground protest in front of City Hall, led by the Free Burma Action Committee-Northern California under the banner ‘Eradicate All Fascists Through United Domestic and International Force.’ The activists gathered to demand the complete end of the military dictatorship system and showed solidarity with the people of Myanmar who continue to resist the military regime.
During the protest, participants observed a minute of silence and offered prayers for the monks and civilians who lost their lives in the recent powerful earthquake, as well as for those who are suffering from its aftermath. They called on the U.S. government and international community to provide humanitarian assistance to earthquake victims, while emphasizing the critical importance of ensuring that aid does not fall into the hands of the military council. The protesters stressed that if any assistance reaches the military council, the public must closely monitor and expose how these resources are being utilized.
The demonstrators also strongly condemned political brokers who continue to cooperate with the military council while the people are suffering. They pointed out that the military council has not only failed to help citizens affected by natural disasters but is also attempting to exploit international aid for their own benefit. Therefore, they urged the international community to find direct channels to provide assistance to the people of Myanmar. The protesters emphasized that humanitarian aid must reach those truly in need and not be misappropriated by the military regime that continues to oppress its own people.
