
A soldier from the terrorist military’s Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 591 based in Kyaung Village, Ye Township, Mon State, has been successfully captured alive by the 2nd Company of the Ye Bilu Battalion. According to the Ye Bilu Battalion Commander, the captured soldier has been identified as Kyaw Zin Phyo, who was apprehended in the morning of April 9 near Kyaung Village. The commander stated that they will conduct thorough interrogations of the captured soldier and take appropriate action based on their findings.
The Ye Bilu Battalion Commander elaborated on the situation, explaining that careful assessment is needed regarding the captured soldier’s circumstances. He noted that there are multiple possibilities to consider, including whether the soldier was conducting surveillance on their positions or if he was attempting to desert from his battalion. The commander emphasized that they cannot extend 100% trust immediately and will make careful decisions about how to handle the situation. Currently, interrogations are ongoing, and further actions will be determined based on the information obtained during questioning.
