
A clash between military council forces and resistance forces in Htone Gyi Township, Bago Region, resulted in the death of six military council soldiers. The battle took place on May 29 near West Bo Kone village, located approximately three miles from the Yangon-Mandalay highway. The conflict erupted when military council forces, numbering around 100 troops, attempted to enter the village during their patrol operation. The resistance forces, who had anticipated the military council’s movement, were ready to engage.
According to a representative from the A.D.G Brothers resistance group, their forces successfully ambushed the incoming military council troops as they entered the village area. During the engagement, six military council soldiers were killed, and several others were reportedly wounded. The resistance forces were able to withdraw safely from the area without suffering any casualties. The successful operation demonstrated the growing capabilities of local resistance forces in conducting defensive operations against military council movements in the region.
