
Six members of the military council forces were killed in clashes that occurred on the east bank of the Sittaung River in Taunggoo and Yedashe Townships of Bago Region. According to a confirmation from an official of Battalion 3504 based in Yedashe Township, three soldiers were killed during an attack on military council reinforcements arriving at Pade village in Taunggoo Township.
On the evening of April 6, revolutionary forces from Battalion 3504 launched an attack on a military council column of approximately 60 personnel who were arriving as reinforcements at Pade village on the east bank of the Sittaung River in Taunggoo Township. The engagement lasted about 20 minutes, during which three military council soldiers were killed and five others were wounded, according to confirmed reports.
The following day, on the evening of April 7, another clash erupted between military council forces and revolutionary forces, resulting in five military council personnel being wounded. The injured were transported from Pade jetty to Doein area. Subsequently, on the evening of April 8, revolutionary forces attacked military council troops who were conducting forward operations from their outpost in Ohmyedwin village on the east bank of the Sittaung River in Yedashe Township, near the Thakarhintoe monastery. This attack resulted in three more military council soldiers being killed.
This engagement lasted approximately 20 minutes, with revolutionary forces successfully withdrawing without any casualties. Following the clash, after 10 PM, the military council’s Artillery Unit 84/19 from Swa town responded by firing three 120mm artillery rounds. While these clashes continue to occur, the full extent of their impact on the security and daily lives of local civilians remains unclear.
