Since the military coup, junta troops have been conducting arbitrary arrests, torture, looting of property, and burning of buildings targeting local civilians. However, the local people remain steadfast in their resistance against the military dictatorship, maintaining strong determination in their fight.
During today’s protest by the Shwe Yay Kyun Strike Column, demonstrators demanded the immediate fall of the military dictatorship, the release of political prisoners, and the establishment of a genuine federal democratic system. The protest was attended by youth, women, and local residents who proudly carried the victory flag and conducted their demonstration peacefully. The protest represents the ongoing resistance movement in the region, where people continue to stand against military oppression despite facing severe consequences for their actions.
