A spokesperson from the People’s Defense Force in Myothit Township has confirmed that seven members of the Pyu Saw Htee group, including one of their leaders, were killed during an attack on their vehicle along the Myothit-Naypyidaw road in Magway Region. The incident occurred on March 29 at approximately 2:45 PM when revolutionary forces targeted a vehicle carrying Pyu Saw Htee members who were traveling from Shwepan village.
During the attack, the Pyu Saw Htee leader and six other members were fatally shot, and various documents and narcotics were seized from their possession. According to the People’s Defense Force official, this particular Pyu Saw Htee group operated under the leadership of Min Min, a Ma Ba Tha blood-sworn group leader, and was considered one of the most dangerous Pyu Saw Htee groups in the region. The official stated that they were forced to delay the announcement of this operation due to communication difficulties in the area.
Local People’s Defense Forces have announced their commitment to continue clearing operations against remaining Pyu Saw Htee members to ensure regional stability and public safety. They emphasized their dedication to protecting civilian populations in the area. The incident is still under investigation, and further actions will be taken as necessary according to the findings.
