
A senior official from the Dawn Victory People’s Defense Force (LPDF) has confirmed that seven military council soldiers were killed during clashes in Salin Township, Magway Region in late February. The confrontation began around 7 AM on February 25th when military council troops from Seikphyu were inspecting power lines connected to KaPaSa-21 within Salin Township. Revolutionary forces engaged the military council troops in what became a significant battle.
The operation was jointly carried out by multiple resistance groups including Dawn Victory PDF, Salin Township PDF Zone-3, Minbu District Battalion 1, Magway District Battalion 2, Magway PDF, and the Magway Division Drone Strike Force. During the engagement, seven military council soldiers were killed while resistance fighters successfully withdrew without any casualties. Following the battle, the military council forces retreated to Seikphyu on February 27th.
Additionally, another clash occurred near the military council’s outpost in Thitkauk Taung village in Salin Township. On February 23rd, the Dawn Brothers Urban Guerrilla Force and Minbu District Battalion 5 conducted a close-range attack on military council troops who were hiding in an ambush position near their outpost. The fighting lasted approximately 30 minutes, during which the military council forces responded with heavy weapons. Despite the military’s counterattack, resistance forces were able to withdraw safely while inflicting casualties on the military council troops. According to battle reports, several military council soldiers were killed or wounded in this engagement, while the revolutionary forces emerged unscathed from both operations.
