
Despite increased security measures by the military council, seven police outposts along the old Yangon-Mandalay highway and railway route have been attacked, leading to a warning from the military court to the newly appointed Minister of Home Affairs, Deputy General Tun Tun Naung. According to military sources in Naypyidaw, the military council leadership is frustrated by the continued attacks despite orders to strengthen security measures in these areas.
In the Yehlae Island area of Seikphyu Township, Magway Region, resistance forces successfully ambushed and attacked military council troops during their operation. The attack resulted in the death of approximately ten soldiers, including a captain, while nine other soldiers were captured alive along with their weapons. Colonel Mike Khae, leader of the Myingyan Black Tiger Force, confirmed these casualties and captures. The resistance forces were able to effectively surround and engage the military council troops during the battle.
In Palaw Township, Tanintharyi Region, the administrator of Ward 3, Htun Myint, and his son Win Min Htun, who were actively recruiting new soldiers for the military council, were shot and killed inside their home. Local sources reported that they had been forcing local residents into military service and collecting money from the community. Reports indicate that forced recruitment efforts for the military council have been intensifying across various regions of the country.
