The Nway Oo Fighters, a Spring Revolution resistance group, has donated 11 million kyats worth of aid to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Tanintharyi Region through the Spring Love humanitarian organization. This donation has become a crucial support for local civilians who have been forced to flee their homes due to the military junta’s brutal offensive operations in the region.
The aid was distributed to support the basic needs of more than 2,000 people taking shelter in IDP camps. The assistance included rice and other essential supplies. Additionally, elderly residents received financial support of 50,000 kyats each, and all camp residents were treated to a special meal of Mont Ti (Burmese noodle dish) as part of the support program.
These humanitarian aid efforts have become vital lifelines for civilians who have been displaced by the military junta’s offensive operations. In Tanintharyi Region, local residents continue to face displacement due to the military’s airstrikes, village burnings, and violent operations, leaving them in desperate need of basic necessities. The situation remains critical as many civilians struggle to access essential supplies while living in temporary shelters away from their homes.
