
Revolutionary forces successfully attacked and captured a military outpost occupied by the military council troops and Pyu Saw Htee militia in Nyaung Nyo Pin village, Kalay Township, Sagaing Region on July 5. According to an announcement by the People’s Defense Force (PDF), six military council personnel, including one corporal, one soldier, and four Pyu Saw Htee members were killed in the battle, while one Pyu Saw Htee member was captured alive.
The revolutionary forces suffered no casualties during the operation, with only one fighter sustaining injuries. They seized various weapons and ammunition from the military council forces, including one BA-100, two G-3 rifles, four Carbines, twelve 60mm mortar rounds, 1,175 Carbine ammunition rounds, 509 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 58 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, and two hand grenades.
The operation was led by the Deputy Officer (Military Affairs) of the Kalay District PDF, with military planning conducted by the Deputy Officer (Organization/Training), Information Officer, and Office Director of the Kalay District PDF. The attacking force included members from the Kalay District PDF’s armed wing, drone team, and PDF units from Htauk Kyan, Zin Galin, and Pauk Taw villages. This successful operation represents a significant blow to the military council’s territorial control efforts in the region.
