
Revolutionary forces launched an attack on the Latkattaung Tower Camp in Lalontar Township, Tanintharyi Region, on March 13 at 7:00 AM, resulting in the death of 12 military council soldiers and the seizure of weapons and ammunition, according to a responsible official from the Duraka Column. The battle lasted for 6 hours and involved intense fighting. During the engagement, the revolutionary forces captured one MA-3 rifle, nine ammunition magazines, three hand grenades, and various other military equipment.
The attack was led by the Duraka Column of the Dawei National Liberation Army (DNLA), with participation from the Yephyu People’s Defense Force and Dawei District Battalion 2. Currently, revolutionary operations are intensifying across the country, and local civilians have been warned to remain vigilant about military situations. The revolutionary forces have emphasized the importance of civilian safety during these increased military activities.
