A representative from YE-U Freedom Comrades (YFC) has confirmed that revolutionary forces conducted drone attacks on military council outposts and columns in Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region, resulting in military casualties. The attacks were jointly carried out by the Shwebo District People’s Defense Drone Team and the 5/Mahura Buffalo (Ye-U PDF).
The first attack took place around midnight on September 7th, targeting a military council outpost near the Kyaphyu roundabout south of Ye-U town. The outpost, manned by approximately twenty military council troops, had been a source of civilian harassment and oppression in the area. The Shwebo District People’s Defense Drone Team launched two bombs at the position, likely resulting in military casualties.
A second attack was conducted on the morning of September 14th, targeting a military council column of approximately 60 troops near the Industrial Agriculture Office along the Ye-U-Depaeyin road. Revolutionary forces employed three drones to drop bombs on the column, causing injuries among military council troops. Following the attack, the military council forces responded with indiscriminate artillery and small arms fire before retreating back into Ye-U town.
While the revolutionary forces lost two fixed-wing drones during both operations, the YFC representative confirmed that no resistance fighters were injured or killed. The exact number of military council casualties is still being investigated, and revolutionary forces have pledged to continue their resistance against the military council’s brutal oppression of civilians in the region.
