According to battle reports, military council troops suffered casualties following a drone attack by revolutionary forces on Pyu Saw Htee village in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region. The operation was carried out by TGYR guerrilla forces and allied groups on June 10th in the afternoon. The attack involved both drone weapons and heavy artillery. The offensive began at 12:32 PM, with TGYR forces deploying eight bombs via drone, including four one-kilogram bombs. Additionally, allied revolutionary forces fired four 60mm artillery shells during the operation.
Following the attack, sounds of screaming and indiscriminate firing of both heavy and light weapons were heard from within the village, indicating casualties on the military council’s side. Reports confirm that four members of the Pyu Saw Htee group, aligned with the military council, sustained severe injuries and were transferred to the military council camp in Semikan town for medical treatment. The operation was a coordinated effort between TGYR Youth Guerrilla Counter Revolution’s drone teams, the Border Guard Artillery unit, and Northern Alliance forces, according to the group’s statement. The revolutionary forces confirmed they suffered no casualties during the engagement.
The attack demonstrates the increasing capability of resistance forces to conduct coordinated operations using both conventional and unconventional warfare tactics. The use of drones for precision strikes, combined with traditional artillery support, shows the evolution of resistance tactics in the ongoing conflict. The successful operation against the Pyu Saw Htee village, known as a military council-aligned settlement, represents a significant tactical achievement for the revolutionary forces in the Myingyan area. The incident also highlights the continuing resistance against military council forces and their affiliated groups in the region.
