Three revolutionary forces based in Mon State have issued a warning that they will take action against those who participate in the military council’s election-related activities. This announcement was made by Saw Dar Ko, the Special Regional Strategy 33 Operations Commander based in Ye Township. The Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF), Ye People’s Defense Force (YPDF), and Dawn Battalion 2 have stated that they have obtained lists of individuals who plan to assist in the election processes, and those listed individuals will face consequences if they continue to participate in election-related activities.
The terrorist military council is preparing for elections to maintain its grip on power, and there are reports that electronic voting machine training will be conducted in Ye District. Revolutionary organizations have been monitoring and gathering intelligence on the movements and activities of the military council’s election officials. The revolutionary groups have warned administrative officers and non-CDM staff (those continuing to work under the military dictatorship) not to participate in any election-related processes, including attending training sessions or implementing election-related tasks with the military council’s election authorities.
Operations Commander Saw Dar Ko emphasized that they have obtained detailed information about civil servants who continue to serve under the military dictatorship and warned that those who follow the military council’s orders will be arrested and dealt with in accordance with human rights standards. He also indicated that the public will continue to organize mass movements to oppose the illegitimate election. The three revolutionary forces have specifically warned that they will prevent the military council from conducting elections in Mon State, and have cautioned administrators and non-CDM staff against traveling with election authorities, attending training sessions, or implementing any election-related activities.
