Revolutionary forces conducted successful drone strikes against military positions in Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region, resulting in multiple casualties among military personnel. The attacks targeted military outposts at Myaung Junction and Alakappa village on August 8, where the military had established temporary bases. The first attack occurred around 12:30 PM at Myaung Junction, where resistance forces deployed six bombs via drone strikes. Although the military responded with heavy artillery fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without any casualties.
Later that evening, resistance forces launched another drone attack on military personnel stationed at the Nine Buddha Temple in Alakappa village, dropping three bombs. This attack resulted in injuries to five military personnel, with two of them sustaining severe injuries that could potentially be fatal, according to Kyar Khin Sein, the commander of Myaung Drone Force (MDF). The targeted locations were military outposts where troops had been engaging in various crimes against civilians, including forceful confiscation of civilian property, illegal toll collection, and burning down nearby villages.
The coordinated attack was carried out through collaboration between multiple resistance groups, including M.D.F Drone Kyar Khin Sein, Popa Guerilla Force, Yinmabin District Strategy 47 Drone Force, B21 Drone Force, Revolution Air Force Drone Force, People’s Comrade Guerrilla Force, Peacock Drone Team, Ayeyarwaddy Python Guerrilla Force, Myinmu Township PDF, and Black Eagle People’s Defense Force. These operations are part of the broader revolutionary effort to dismantle the military dictatorship and restore civilian governance. The successful coordination between various resistance groups demonstrates the growing capabilities of anti-military forces in their struggle against the oppressive military regime.
