
Revolutionary forces conducted successful drone strikes on military outposts in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region, resulting in the death of two military council soldiers, including one officer, according to the Chaung-U People’s Defence Force (CHUPDF). The attack occurred on March 6 at approximately 5:30 PM, targeting the Myapyarlae military outpost located along the Monywa-Mandalay highway. The resistance forces precisely dropped two bombs using drones during the operation.
During the attack, an artillery commander officer and another soldier who were having dinner inside the Myapyarlae outpost were killed instantly, while five other soldiers sustained severe injuries. The wounded soldiers were evacuated to Monywa city in two armored vehicles at around 11:23 PM the same night. The bodies of the two deceased soldiers were given a military funeral ceremony inside the Northwest Military Command headquarters the following day, March 7, at 10 AM, according to reports from revolutionary forces.
In Tanintharyi Region, another effective strike was carried out by revolutionary forces. The Red Wing People’s Defense Force led a drone attack on the military council’s Infantry Battalion 558 in Tanintharyi Township. The operation, which took place on March 1, was a joint effort between resistance fighters from PDF Zone 4 and Zone 5 of Tanintharyi Township. While there were likely casualties among military council troops, the exact numbers could not be confirmed. The Red Wing People’s Defense Force reported that all revolutionary forces successfully withdrew from the operation without suffering any casualties.
