A spokesperson from the TGYR guerrilla force has confirmed that military council troops suffered casualties following drone strikes on their outpost in Gwepinhtaw village, Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region. The attack, which occurred at 10:30 AM on June 24, targeted military council observation posts and stationed troops. While the exact number of casualties among military council forces could not be confirmed, the resistance forces reported successful hits on their targets. During the operation, military council troops responded with heavy and light weapons fire, but resistance forces were able to withdraw safely without casualties, though two combat drones were lost in the operation.
The coordinated attack was carried out through collaboration between multiple resistance groups, including TGYR-YouthGuerrillaCounterRevolution-NZ drone teams, Myinmu Township PDF (Black Eagle), Ayeyar Snake Force, and Nganzun Township PDF District 1. The operation demonstrated the growing coordination between various resistance forces in their campaign against military council positions. The TGYR spokesperson emphasized that their forces do not maintain strict territorial boundaries and are ready to provide support wherever needed in the resistance effort, calling for continued public support to achieve swift victory in the revolution.
In a separate incident in Tanintharyi Region, resistance forces conducted a successful drone strike against military council troops temporarily stationed at a monastery in Pyinphyu village, Yaychaung Township. According to T5 Wings, the attack resulted in one military council soldier’s death and four others sustaining severe injuries. The military unit, consisting of approximately 70 troops, was targeted while they were resting at the monastery during their movement to reinforce the Winwa camp from Yaychaung town on May 29. The operation was jointly conducted by T5 Wings drone force, Drone Battalion No. 1814 (DS-TNI), and Daung Nyi Naung drone force. The resistance forces reported successfully completing the mission without suffering any casualties, demonstrating the increasing effectiveness of drone warfare in their resistance operations against military council forces.
