A spokesperson from the Seikphyu Tiger Force has confirmed that resistance forces have successfully destroyed electrical power lines supplying the military’s weapons manufacturing facility (Defense Products Industry 22) in Seikphyu Township, Magway Region. The operation was carried out on August 17 through a coordinated effort between the Northern Seikphyu Force, Pauk Township People’s Defense Force, and Seikphyu Tiger Force.
DPI-22 is a major weapons factory that produces armaments and explosives for the military, which have been regularly used in airstrikes and artillery attacks against civilians. The resistance forces explained that this strategic attack on the power infrastructure was necessary to disrupt the factory’s ability to continue manufacturing weapons used against the civilian population. Despite heavy rainfall, the revolutionary forces successfully executed this strategic operation. The military has been unable to repair the damaged power lines so far, though their troops have been observed conducting operations in the area. The resistance forces have warned that further clashes may occur if military columns attempt to approach the area for repairs.
The operation was completed without any casualties among the resistance forces, who were able to withdraw safely after successfully completing their mission. The revolutionary forces believe that such strategic attacks will significantly impact the military’s weapons production capabilities and reduce their ability to continue offensive operations against civilians. This operation demonstrates the growing tactical capabilities of resistance forces in targeting critical military infrastructure while minimizing risks to their personnel. The successful coordination between multiple resistance groups also highlights the increasing effectiveness of joint operations in the ongoing struggle against the military regime’s oppression of civilians.
