
The Special Guerrilla Force has announced the successful capture of Ko Naing Naing Soe (aka) Ko Naing, a Pyu Saw Htee member from Kyauknimaw village in Longlone Township, Tanintharyi Region. The arrest took place during a checkpoint operation on a road section within Longlone Township in February. During the investigation, it was revealed that Ko Naing was a significant collaborator with the military council forces in Kyauknimaw village, playing a crucial role in supporting their operations.
Important documents and evidence related to the military council office were seized from the detainee during the arrest. According to the investigation, Ko Naing admitted to several activities during his residence in Kyauknimaw village, including using weapons to oppress and torture innocent civilians, transporting supplies for military council soldiers, providing accommodation for military council troops in the village, and carrying weapons while moving around the village. These confessions highlight the extent of his collaboration with the military council and his role in supporting their oppressive activities against local civilians.
Currently, Ko Naing remains in custody under the joint supervision of the Special Guerrilla Force and the Pinlae Kyar group, where he continues to undergo further questioning. The revolutionary forces have emphasized that this arrest represents a significant achievement in ensuring the security and justice for local residents. They have also stated their commitment to continuing their efforts to identify and take action against those who assist in the military council’s brutal activities against civilians.
