
A spokesperson from Battalion 1 in Kawthaung District has confirmed that two clashes occurred in Bokpyin Township, Tanintharyi Region, when the terrorist military attacked a revolutionary forces’ checkpoint, resulting in military council casualties. On June 21 at approximately 6:00 AM, military forces numbering around 50 from the Bokpyin area and over 40 soldiers from the windward direction launched a coordinated attack using small arms against a revolutionary forces’ checkpoint located between Chaungmon and Wardin villages.
During the initial engagement, heavy and light weapons were exchanged in a firefight lasting approximately 30 minutes, with revolutionary forces successfully withdrawing without casualties. At around 10:00 AM, revolutionary forces launched a second attack using both heavy and light weapons, resulting in military council casualties, though the exact number could not be confirmed. The operation was jointly conducted by KNLA Battalion 203, Company 4, Kawthaung District Battalion 1, Company 2, SOF Company, Bokpyin Township People’s Defense Force, and Bokpyin Township People’s Police Force.
Simultaneously in Magway Region, an attack on a military supply convoy from Pakokku 101 and Kamma Police Station using rockets resulted in six soldier casualties, according to a representative from the Bamathi Artillery Guerrilla Force. On June 29 at approximately 10:30 AM, revolutionary forces launched rocket attacks on the supply convoy and police station, with two rockets striking the police station and one hitting an eastern bunker, causing military council casualties. Although the military council responded with four 60mm artillery rounds, no revolutionary forces were harmed. Previously, on June 27, seven rocket attacks were conducted, resulting in six military council soldiers killed and two injured. These operations were carried out through coordination between local People’s Defense Forces, the Ko Sone Gyi group, PLC group, and Bamathi group.
